7 November – 8 December 2024
Located on the former site of the Gyeonghuigung palace within the Jongno district in the heart of Seoul, the Seongkok Art Museum was established in 1995 with an aim to promote the cultivation of contemporary art. The museum creates a thoroughly curated program to highlight the work of artists from both Korea and internationally.
For Ji Keunwook’s solo exhibition “Qua-o-ar”, the museum enlisted Eythos for the art handling and installation of Ji’s paintings, resembling the impossible rings of the dwarf planet of the same name. The largest of these paintings, “Space Engine – Paths 001~010” (2024), consists of ten large canvases closely arranged on an entire wall of up to nearly 5 meters in height to create a massive image of reflective-like rays gallivanting across the picture.
Eythos’ team of expert art handlers meticulously unpacked every painting, with a knack for precision and attention to detail that would meet the artist’s vision for this exhibition.
